Once a project is secured the detailing process begins. The detailer’s role is to take the design drawings and create component drawings that can be interpreted by the workshop staff. CSS employs detailers using the Tekla Steel Detailing software (formerly Xsteel).

All initial drawings are sent for approval to the Engineer of record, these include General arrangements and assemblies in PDF format, we also utilise BIMsight – free application available from the Tekla website Here. This enables us to work collaboratively with all trades and stakeholders on the project in a 3D environment.
